Breitling’s Premier Collection dates to the 1940’s, dedicated to watches with everyday elegance. Today’s Premier Collection introduces models whose elegance is worthy of their historic name, with quality, performance, and design DNA are pure Breitling. This watch is the “Premier Datora” and is best referenced as a “dress chronograph”, something that historically has been available only from haute horology brands. It has a stainless steel case that is 42mm in diameter, 15.3mm thick, and is water resistant to 100m. Breitling calls this dial “Copper” though it may also be called a beautiful traditional salmon. In addition to its chronograph functionality, the Premier Datora is a “Complete Calendar with Moon phase” and shows the day and month in windows at the top of the dial, the date and moon phase (with a beautiful moon indicator with a traditional “face”) in a register at 6H. It has a classic two-register chronograph layout, with central chronograph seconds, running seconds at 9H and a 30-minute register at 3H. The hour and minute hands have Super Luminova for readability and all other hands are blued. Further nods to tradition include the dial’s applied Arabic numerals, the lines on both flanks of the case, and the rectangular chronograph pushers.

This watch is powered by the self-winding Breiting Manufacture Caliber B25 with a 48-hour power reserve and has a sapphire crystal that is glare proofed on both sides with a sapphire case back to allow viewing the beautiful movement. It is Chronometer Certified and is backed by a 5-year Breitling warranty (extensible for an additional 3 years with registration). This Premier Chronograph pays no attention to the barrier between sport and dress watches and is a match for any occasion. It comes on a brown alligator leather strap with a steel push-button folding clasp.
