Grand Seiko’s SBGX353 is part of the Elegance Collection. It is housed in a 34mm stainless steel case that is 41.5mm lug to lug, slim 10.7mm height, with a box shaped sapphire crystal and push down crown. This perfectly sized unisex watch can provide a classically sized dress watch experience for men, and a versatile, contemporary, all-occasion watch for women. Grand Seiko is known for intricate dials and incredible casework utilizing Zaratsu polishing to create a mirror finish. This watch possesses a version of one of the most well-known of these dials – commonly referred to as the “Skyflake” or “Blue Snowflake”. The Shinshu Studio is surrounded by the Hotaka mountains that are covered in snow for several months a year. The texture of the dial is inspired by this snow being driven across the slopes by the crisp, dry wind, rendered in the beautiful light blue of fresh snow. A heat-blued steel seconds hand adds further visual interest. The SBGX353 comes on a 18mm dark blue crocodile strap with an engraved pin buckle.
